La construcció d'aquesta ermita recau en dos fets.

El primer: El milacre que va tornar la vida a un dels germans Payá, a principi del segle XV que va donar lloc a la primitiva ermita ubicada en la partida de les Eres, construïda en acció de gracies per la família Payá.

El segon: La reconstrucció i millora de la mateixa arrel del succés històric ocorregut el 23 d'Abril de 1648.

Situada a les afores del poble, es la antiga església de Fabanella. No ha estat sempre l'Ermita de Santa Ana, abans fou anomenada l'Ermita de la Nostra Senyora d'Oreto.

El 26 de Juliol, l'Ermita s'omple de "colivencs" per tal de celebrar la seua festivitat.

Es celebren balls, jocs i proves esportives les quals proporcionen hores de records i diversió.

Desapareguda als nostres dies, allà va estar el tríptic de Sant Jaume, des de que derruïda l’antiga Església en el lloc de Montserrat, va ser traslladat allà ja que en l’actual església estava l’escultura de l’apòstol.

Actualment solament queda la creu de Sant Antoni.

L’Ermita de la Nostra Senyora de Montserrat està situada al barri del seu mateix nom. Sobre el segle XVI es va començar el culte a aquesta Verge que es va estendre molt ràpidament pels habitants del poble.

Maria de Molina, viuda del Fenellós, Senyor que fou de Benellup, va reconstruir l’Ermita per tal d’efectuar una fundació monestir la qual finalment no fou autoritzada per l’Arquebisbe de València i el que fou edificat per a ser convent, va quedar en ruïnes tal i com es pot apreciar actualment.

L’Ermita de la Nostra Senyora de Montserrat està situada al barri del seu mateix nom. Sobre el segle XVI es va començar el culte a aquesta Verge que es va estendre molt ràpidament pels habitants del poble.

Maria de Molina, viuda del Fenellós, Senyor que fou de Benellup, va reconstruir l’Ermita per tal d’efectuar una fundació monestir la qual finalment no fou autoritzada per l’Arquebisbe de València i el que fou edificat per a ser convent, va quedar en ruïnes tal i com es pot apreciar actualment.
